Qufu boasts a rich collection of cultural relics. There are 196 major cultural and historical protection sites (of which 11 are protected at national level), over 5,000 stone inscriptions and over 100,000 items collected by local museums.

Famous tourist spots include “Three Kong” (Confucian Temple, Confucian Mansion, Confucian Cemetery), “Two Temples” Yan Hui Temple, Temple of Duke Zhou , “One Mausoleum” (Mausoleum of Shaohao Emperor), and “Four Mountains” (Mount Ni, Jiuxian Mountains, Mount Jiulong and Mount Shimen). Confucian Temple, Confucian Mansion and Confucian Cemetery were listed as the World Heritage Sites, while the Ancient City Wall of Ming Dynasty was rated as one of the first batch of 5A Scenic Spots in China, and the annual Confucius Memorial Ceremony is among the first batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritages. 7 million visitors are received per year in Qufu.

Qufu has 3 4A-level tourist attractions: Confucius Six Arts City, Mount Shimen and Mount Ni. Themed around the “Six Arts” (rites, music, archery, charioteering, calligraphy and mathematics) practiced by gentlemen in ancient China, Confucius Six Arts City is a cultural tourist attraction combining shopping, catering and amusement together. Mount Shimen along with Jiulong Mountains is where China’s first Cittaslow is based, which features cultural tourism, ecological experience, slow-paced life, recreation and creative experience. In addition, Qufu also has 15 3A-level tourist attractions.
