
On November 12, 1993, Qufu and Taku signed an agreement as "International Sister City" .
Located in the center of Saga Prefecture in southern Japan, Taku has an area of 96.63 square kilometers and a population of more than 26,000 people. There are many cultural relics and historic sites, including the famous Taku Temples. Confucius is offered sacrifices every spring and autumn uninterruptedly since the establishment of Taku for more than 280 years. Taku is one of the famous Confucius research centers in Japan.
